News has reached the Pollok FC website of the passing of supporter and travel club secretary Robert ‘Bob’ Howden, following a long battle with Parkinson’s Disease. He regularly attended matches throughout the 1980s, 1990s and early 2000s until his artritis prevented him from doing so. For those wishing to attend, his funeral is on Friday 4th January at the Linn Crematorium, at 10am.
Note from the secretary: the scheduled committee meeting for 19th December has been cancelled.
It is with sadness that the website reports the death of long-time supporter Jim Geddes aged 77. His funeral is this Friday (21st) at Dreghorn Crematorium.

The latest batch arrived, looking great, yesterday morning. The certificates will be available to pick up at the next home game and the bricks will be added to the wall at the pavilion in the new year.

In this evening’s Macron Scottish Junior Cup 5th Round draw, Pollok were pulled out of the hat at home to East Region side Rosyth. The Fifers have had a difficult 2018-19 thus far and find themselves at present towards the foot of the East Region South Division table with 12 points from 11 games. They have had more joy in cup ties so far, winning last weekend at home to West Calder United in their Thorntons East League Cup group stage match. They also managed to hit double figures back in September in the DJ Laing East Region Cup at home to Coupar Angus, running out 12-1 winners. This is their first season at a new home – Lok played them (and won) at the now vacated Recreation Park in the Ronnie Lowrie era. They now play at the Fleet Grounds, should a replay be required.
Full draw (ties due 26th January 2019)
Girvan v Clydebank
Craigmark Burntonians v Lochee United
Kilwinning Rangers v Thornton Hibs or Renfrew
Largs Thistle v St. Rochs
Cambuslang Rangers v Troon
Rossvale v Hurlford United
Blantyre Victoria or Auchinleck Talbot v Rutherglen Glencairn
Pollok v Rosyth
The club are pleased to announce that Adam Forde has extended his contract with Pollok until the Summer of 2020.
Adam joined Pollok in the summer of 2017 and has made 45 appearances scoring 26 goals.
Pollok are delighted to announce the capture of Jamie Henry on a contract until the end of the 2018-19 season. The Clydebank-based central midfielder has been without a club since leaving Brechin City in August. Having played for a number of sides in the West at Pro Youth level, Jamie joined Aberdeen when he was 15, became captain of the youth team and remained there until 20, enjoying a loan spell at Arbroath during his time at Pittodrie. After moving on, he spent last season back at Gayfield during the first half of the season and finished it with Annan Athletic. He impressed on his debut, winning man of the match no less, so here’s hoping Jamie enjoys more of the same in the weeks, months and years ahead. Welcome aboard!
Jamie being presented with his MOTM award by sponsor Peter Graham last weekend.
In the run up to Christmas, the club is asking the Pollok support to bring along a small bag of non perishable food items to one of the next 3 home matches. This year the donations will be handed over to the Glasgow South West foodbank as well as the Lodging House Mission in time for Christmas to help those in our community who find themselves in crisis.
Non perishable food and basic toiletry items are welcome and at the moment they are particularly in need of;
The Pollok support have generously donated to the foodbank over the last few Christmases and most recently at Easter. Bags can be dropped off at the next three home games listed below.
